Fashion: currently coveting for summer

Fashion: currently coveting for summer

Summer time; when will it ever arrive…?

I have been desperate to update my summer wardrobe for a while now. There are so many nice pieces out, and it’s really testing my willpower not to buy them. However, working 3 days a week has it’s limits (namely on my bank balance), and if I actually purchased any more clothes at the moment, I think my husband might kill me. So in the meantime, I’ve curated a wish list, mainly for myself, but I thought I would share it in case anyone wants some summer outfit inspo. My Instagram doesn’t really show a lot of the casual/non work outfits that I wear (unless I think they are worth sharing, or can be transitioned into a work outfit somehow). So here’s a chance for you to see what I will be strutting around in (if the weather ever changes, and I can actually afford to buy them) this summer.

I’ve selected pieces from my favourite ‘go-to’ brands of the moment so there’s not a huge mix of designers here. I tend to stick to what I know and love, and I’m the sort of person that will buy the same thing in 3 different colours if I really like it and the quality is good. My go-to brand for holidays and city breaks, is Pampelone. Their dresses and tops are divine for summer. Really light weight, and gorgeous designs that can be worn to the beach in the day, or out for dinner in the evenings. The price point for their pieces is also spot on. Gorgeous, affordable summer wear that doesn’t compromise on quality. Intropia is also a favourite brand of mine for summer pieces. I am lusting after most of their new collection right now.  The dresses are perfect for weddings and summer nights, and some of the tops can easily be worn to work. The fabrics are amazing and the detail on some of their pieces is exquisite. Roll on pay day!

In addition to Pampelone and Intropia, there are of course bits from Zara (my love affair has not wained unfortunately, and those palm tree shorts are heaven!!), Whistles and Hush. All have fantastic collections in for summer. There’s also two pieces on my wish list from Lily and Lionel. I’ve seen a few people in the gorgeous red silk blouse and think it would be perfect both in and out of the office. The print is absolutely stunning! Finally, no wish list would be complete without shoes so I’ve added in my two favourite pairs from the high street right now.  The cobalt blue midi heels (as I like to call them) from LK Bennet will be on everyone I’m sure as that colour is a total winner. And they are so comfortable. There’s also a 20% off sale on at LK Bennett – don’t miss it! The Mango sliders are perfect for many occasions. Because they are black, they can easily be dressed up and worn with trousers or dresses. Plus, the intricate beading really makes them look very luxurious.

I hope you like the edit. Hopefully you will see me wearing some of these bits this summer (when I can finally buy them). I’d love to know if anyone has any of these pieces already so do get in touch.

Happy shopping!

Lisa
