I’m Lisa aka City Run Mum. I’m a London mother, wife and city worker. I’ve started this blog as a place to highlight my favourite work fashion finds. I love putting together new outfits and finding new pieces. As a mum, most of my ‘toddler days’ are spent in casual clothes that I can move easily in (let’s be honest, I don’t walk around all day in stiletto’s and pencil skirts – as much as I would like to think I could!), so work is my escape for getting dressed up and feeling glamorous again.
My style is quite versatile, and as a mum I really rely on this versatility. Whilst I am very much an ‘investment’ buyer, especially when it comes to accessories like handbags and shoes, I also love a high street hit as much as everyone else. I like to be smart and fashionable for work, but not too edgy as I need to be taken seriously in the office. I prefer to buy pieces that are going to transition through my wardrobe, whether that be the seasons, day to night or off duty/on duty as a mum. So you will see me wearing things to work that I will wear on weekends, and vice versa. It’s good to be able to mix it up, and also brings the cost per wear down!
