It’s finally here – Christmas party season is upon us again, and with every party, comes a festive outfit of course. So, if your struggling to find a bit of sparkle at the back of your wardrobe from last year’s festivities, I’ve curated an edit of my favourite picks and accessories from all of my favourite stores. There is definitely something for everyone. Whether you want short and tight, metallic, velvet (my personal favourite) or sequins, you are sure to find something. And best of all, most of the retailers below now have at least 20% off (and even more for some) for Black Friday/Cyber week madness. So now is the time to snap something up at a great price.
My two biggest tips when it comes to buying party wear:
- Buy something that lasts. And by that I mean, buy something that you love and can pull out time and time again. Whether that’s for a wedding, a Christmas party or a date night. Every year sequins and velvet come back around and we all end up buying a slightly different version of something we’ve had before (I am guilty of this too!). But if you choose well, you can keep that item and keep re-wearing it.
- Don’t stick to dresses – there are so many nice skirts and jumpsuits in the shops at the moment and all are classic/timeless styles. Sequin skirts with knits are a fab option, as are velvet trousers and cami’s (depending on what type of event you’re going to of course)
