Fashion: Pampelone’s Mini-Me collection

Fashion: Pampelone’s Mini-Me collection

If you’re like me and love to dress your daughter in gorgeous clothes that match yours (even if they are usually dirty within 10 minutes of wearing them), you can now get your hands on 3 exclusive pieces from the new Pampelone ‘Mini-Me’ collection launched in collaboration with Mothers2Mothers charity.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Holly Anna Scarsella, founder of Pampelone a few times. She is as gorgeous as her brand, and I love all of the pieces from her collection (as you will see from my Instagram). Pampelone are the epitome of ‘beachwear chic’, embodying classic styles whilst being relevant for the global modern woman. The designs are timeless and effortless, and the quality is fabulous – they are the sort of pieces you will take away on holidays for years to come. The Mini Me collection is for girls aged 2-7years and consists of the 3 best selling pieces from the adult range (Click on images below for link to products on the Pampelone website). The Mini-Me Bou Bou Blouse with it’s gorgeous pink detailing. The Mini-Me Grimaud Maxi, which is my personal favourite – I absolutely love the style of this dress and wear it day and night on holiday and throughout the summer. Finally, the Mini-Me Provence Tunic which is just adorable. I wear the adult version as a dress whilst on holiday and even as a top if I’m at home as it looks fab with denim cut offs and jeans.

Mothers2Mothers is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV by providing education and support for pregnant women and new mothers living with HIV. The work that they are doing is amazing and has transformed so many lives already. In the past 15 years alone, Mothers2Mothers has decreased the mother-to-child transmission of HIV amongst their clients from 40% to 2.1%!! That alone is a statistic worth shouting about. Pameplone are giving 100% of the proceeds from this mini me collection directly to the charity.

Below is a short interview with Holly about the collection, the collaboration with Mothers2Mothers, as well as future plans for the Pameplone empire.
Happy reading

1. Can you tell us a bit about why you have launched the mini me collection and what inspired you to start designing for children?

Most of my customers are the yummiest of mummies so the idea came about when I started seeing pictures of these gorgeous mummies with their daughters on Instagram. I thought they would just look beyond cute if they could match!

2. How and why did you start working with M2M?

In the development stage of the collection I was invited to a m2m event at Liberty London and heard the most incredible woman called Irene speak about her experience with HIV in Sub Saharan Africa. It touched me so much I just knew I wanted to work with them and help raise money. Their aim is to eliminate paediatric aids in Sub Saharan Africa so it made perfect sense to donate 100% of the proceeds from our children’s’ collection to the cause.

3. What do you hope hope to achieve from the collection/what is the goal?

Obviously my main aim is to raise as much money as I can for the charity…and It’s a huge bonus to see so many of our customers look so cute matching with their daughters, nieces, goddaughters etc.

4. What is your favourite item?

The Grimaud Maxi dress – in both adult and mini. It’s just so so cute!!

5. Will you be adding more designs?

We will. You can expect to see a much bigger mini-me collection in SS18! Watch this space!

6.What is next for Pampelone – anything you are really excited about?

So many exciting things happening and I cannot wait to share them. The next thing we launch is an exclusive pair of sunglasses which launch in a few weeks!
